Data Deletion

Last updated: 23 August 2026

You can remove your data from Quetzal at any time. Depending on how much you want removed, there are three routes — the first two are immediate and in your own hands, the third is a request we execute for you.

Disconnect a social account

Go to Settings → Connections and disconnect the account. This revokes our access tokens for that platform immediately, deletes them from our vault, and stops all further collection of data from it. Nothing is published to that account afterwards.

You can also revoke our access from the platform’s own side — in Facebook or Instagram, under Settings → Apps and Websites — which has the same effect.

Delete individual content

Posts, drafts, generated media and uploaded assets can be deleted individually from the Posts and Assets sections of the app. Deleting a post in Quetzal removes it from our systems; whether it is also removed from a social platform depends on that platform, and we tell you in the product when we cannot delete something remotely.

Delete everything

Go to Settings → Danger zone → Delete workspace and type the workspace name to confirm. This is immediate and cannot be undone. It removes your workspace, posts, drafts, uploaded and generated assets, connected-platform tokens, the metrics we collected, and the stored files behind all of it. Any active subscription is cancelled at the same time. Only the workspace owner can do this.

If you would rather we did it, or you can no longer sign in, email hello@quetzaltech.es from the address your account uses with the subject Delete my data. We verify that the request comes from the account holder, complete it within 30 days, and confirm by email — usually much sooner.

What we keep, and why

After deletion we retain only invoicing and tax records, for the period Spanish law requires us to keep them — currently six years. These contain the transaction data we are obliged to hold, not your content, your assets or your platform tokens. We cannot delete them earlier because the obligation is not ours to waive.

Data received from Meta and other platforms

Data we received through a connected platform’s API — your profile identity, your own post metrics, and the comments or messages handled by any automation you enabled — is deleted along with everything else, and immediately stops being collected when you disconnect the account. Our handling of information received from Meta APIs follows the Meta Platform Terms; the same commitment applies to every other platform we connect to.

Your rights

Erasure is one of the rights the GDPR gives you, alongside access, rectification, portability, restriction and objection. All of them are exercised at the same address, and the Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why. The controller is Quetzal Tech, S.L. (Sociedad Unipersonal); if you are unhappy with how we handle a request you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es) or to your own national authority.
